Hillside residence — full architecture build
A from-the-ground-up build of a four-bedroom hillside home with floor-to-ceiling glass, cantilevered upper floor, and an infinity pool overlooking the city.
The brief was a contemporary residence that maximized the view without dominating the hillside. We coordinated grading, foundation, structural steel, and waterproofing alongside the design team, then took it all the way through framing, glazing, mechanical, and finish work.
Floor-to-ceiling structural glass on the view side required engineered curtain-wall framing and tight integration with the steel moment frame. The cantilevered second floor sits over a 12-foot deck overhang.
Finishes are intentionally restrained — white stucco, warm wood cladding at entries, polished concrete inside, walnut accents. The pool deck steps directly off the living room with a vanishing-edge view of downtown.
